New UCPS adviser

In September, Christine Wilhelm joined our staff as a full-time ESL teacher who also serves as the UCPS (University and College Placement Service) adviser for ASPECT students interested in higher education opportunities in America.

Housing coordinator travels to Italy

Charles Fernando, ASPECT/Manhattan College's housing coordinator (and a Manhattan College alumnus) left Thursday, October 4th, on a week-long holiday in exotic Italy. While there, Charlie will touch base with Italian student-travel agents who regularly book students for English courses at ASPECT.

ASPECT student services coordinator returns home to Battery Park

ASPECT student services coordinator David Andersen (Manhattan College alumnus) wasn't able to return to his Battery Park neighborhood apartment for several weeks following the WTC collapse, except for a 20-minute visit to rescue his cat. Despite the uncertainty about his living situation, Dave has continued to focus on the delivery of crucial services and fun activities for our students.

ASPECT academic director to speak at NYS TESOL on October 19, 2001

ASPECT academic director Robert Bruce Scott is a speaker at this year's NYS TESOL convention in Rye, New York. The title of his presentation is "Establishing a Conference-like Atmosphere Every Day."
