Happy New Year!

The Executive Board and your president are looking for ways to assist the KATESOL membership with job skills, networking, and obtaining needed college credits.  KATESOL is your organization and needs your input to be most effective. 

Two events are scheduled for spring that will greatly enrich your ESOL experiences.  The first event, the Spring Conference/Seminar, scheduled for April 19 and 20 in Hutchinson, Kansas is a wonderful opportunity for meeting other teachers, paras, and volunteers from across the state, as well as an opportunity to learn from the various workshops and presentations.  The second event is the Migrant/ESOL/Bilingual Conference that is held in Wichita in June.  This event also presents opportunities for networking, further education, and an opportunity to hear from experts in the field. 

I urge each of you to give serious consideration to attending both of the conferences which are specifically planned for you.  They will be exciting experiences.
